" Buccaneers Win, C2 Debuts in Clifton"
Before a very large and supportive audience, The Reading Buccaneers continued their early season dominance of their opponents while sweeping all captions en route to another victory. The power and excellence displayed by the Bucs this early in the season is leaving all of those who see them saying "WOW"!.
The Hawthorne Caballeros put the pieces together with their hometown fans behind them. The visual additions as well as the cleaning they have done may have put them on track for a highly successful season.
The Connecticut Hurricanes have another exciting show for 2012 and received a large standing ovation from the fans tonight. Their British music show is firing on all cylinders and is definitely fan friendly and highly entertaining.
The long awaited debut of Cadets2 had the fans buzzing as they entered the field. Percussion finished a strong third this evening and is the corps strength so far. The framework is in place for a strong season.
Fusion Core made a large impact on the fans this evening as their horn line placed third as Fusion may have had the most entertaining show of the evening. The gangster style show is working well and this program may very well be the "sleeper" show in DCA in 2012.
Vastly improved since Wildwood, Windsor Regiment has made the progress it needs to be a contender in Class A this season.
Another corps that has improved so far are the Bushwackers with their "American Roots" program based on music that has become a part of American culture. With the addition of new members into the show, this program should grow rapidly in the next few weeks.
The Sunrisers made their 2012 debut tonight and are presenting "Carmen" as their program. Even though this corps is small in size they put out a large amount of energy tonight.
The Latin Express Mini Corps, New York Skyliners Alumni Corps, DCI Open Class Raiders, and the Hawthorne Caballero Alumni Corps all gave exceptional exhibitions this evening. To start the show, the New York Skyliner Alumni Chorus sang our National Anthem. Many thanks need to go to Al Katz and his staff from the Hawthorne Caballeros for a great evening of drum corps.
The Grand Prix is always one of the best shows on the DCA tour each year and the fans were definitely given a high level show tonight.
